Our Method

While we primarily service birth to 21 years of age, we also offer adult therapy services. Our clinicians are skilled in “Play Based Therapy” for the pediatric population and have over 30 years of combined experience. We believe a child’s primary occupation is play. Testimonials:

We have had such a great experience using Adaptive Therapies as our choice for Physical Therapy. They have been able to schedule my daughter’s sessions around her busy school and sport schedule. We start and end our sessions on time. The therapists relate well with my daughter and listen to her at each appointment. I would highly recommend this place for your physical and occupational therapy needs!

I just wanted to take a minute to praise your staff. I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and excellent care for my son, Ethan Murray. I was impressed by the manners and compassion, some thing you rarely find these days. Not one of my questions or concerns went unanswered. The staff demonstrates total commitment into caring for my son since day one and that same committed care continues after all these years.

I’d also like to offer special appreciation and thanks to Shauna, occupational therapist, assistant, Amanda (OT) and Taylor physical therapy assistant . These ladies have poured their time, skills, knowledge, and encouragement for Ethan over these years and has made his therapy sessions meaningful.

And to my sons physical therapist, Katie Harper, I would like to say Thank You. She’s been particularly kind and has worked with him in a very professional manner. The outstanding care she shows my son during his therapy sessions is recognized and truly appreciated. Katie can not only make him laugh every day but she’s also able to keep him focused to continue his hard work. Ethan is extremely blessed to have kept the same physical therapist for over eight years. The improvement myself and others have seen over the years has us in absolute awe and no words can describe the multiple benefits Ethan continues achieve. It’s hands-down, the best facility for your PT and OT needs.
Ethan has a bright future ahead of him as he continues to reach his goals. I have all the confidence in the world with the staff at Adaptive Therapies and my sons on going needs.

On a closing note, suffice it to say that the 5-star rating you have for care is overwhelmingly deserved. Thank you for employing the right “A“ team of people. Adaptive Therapies is a perfect example of caring and compassion for all those interested to them.

- Sincerely, -

At the end of 2019, beginning of 2020, my Daughter had brain surgery to hopefully help with her epilepsy, and lost most of her function on her right side. My daughter would not be where she is at, and continuing to grow and improve if it weren’t for Mrs Katie, and Mrs Amanda, and now the amazing team they have at Adaptive Therapies. My family we be forever grateful for the love and compassion and hard work that they put in. They have gone above and beyond and continue to push my daughter to do better, and always make it so fun. She loves going and playing, they always have such fun games and activities to keep her motivated.

I had the pleasure of working as an intern for Adaptive Therapies for 3 months and have nothing but positive things to say. I was on the fence about which direction to continue my education after I graduated from Fort Lewis College in Exercise Physiology. After observing and participating in sessions I have a better understanding of physical and occupational therapy. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, and they care for all their patients. They did not hesitate to answer all my questions and made my internship a meaningful and educational experience.
Katie and Amanda have worked to make Adaptive Therapies a great environment for kid therapy. I would highly recommend them to others for an internship or as a client.

Adaptive Therapies is like a second home. It’s a place where you can be yourself, where therapy is all about having fun, knowing that each of the therapists has “your back”, and is a safe place to learn, grow and increase your skills and strengths.

My son Aiden, who is 10,  is a brain cancer survivor and has been seeing Ms Katie (PT) since he was 3 years old. Ms. Katie has worked with him and given him the tools and skills to relearn how to strengthen his muscles, develop his ability to balance and walk. While these are developing and ongoing needs it is amazing and wonderful to see the progress he has made with her. She has always been his cheerleader and has encouraged him through all his therapies and she has seen to it that he has the specific therapy tools he needs for home, school and community.

Ms. Amanda (OT) has worked with Aiden off and on over the last 6 years. She too has been a huge part of helping him regain the use of fine motor skills, coordination, practical life skills, all the while making it fun. She has been another wonderful cheerleader for Aiden, encouraging him all along the way as he learned or relearned skills needed for more independence.

Adaptive Therapies is a place where all are made to feel that they matter, where milestones are celebrated and challenges are met with a “we can do this attitude”. It’s a family friendly environment, where all are welcomed and are able to be a part of the team. Everyone you meet at Adaptive Therapies is welcoming, ready to help in any way and help you achieve your goals.
